Michael Morgan and Oakland Symphony uncover a hidden musical treasure with Joachim Raff’s rarely-performed Symphony No. 3 at Lost Romantic Symphonies on November 18. Gershwin’s Cuban Overture kicks off the evening to celebrate Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra’s recent Cuban tour, with youth and adult Symphony musicians performing together. Acclaimed violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins presents the U.S. premiere of Siegfried Matthus’ concerto Dream of a Summer Night along with John Williams’ theme from Schindler’s List and a selection from Fiddler on the Roof.
