We are excited to share the Young People’s Concerts will make a post-pandemic return this year at the historic Paramount Theatre for students in grades K-8.

There is NO COST to attend this concert.

The Young People’s Concerts program provides approximately 8,000 students their first introduction to orchestral music through a school day concert held in the spring; performed and conducted by members of the Oakland Symphony.

There will be (two) forty-five minute concerts for students on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 one at 9:30am the other at 11:00am.

“Adventures in music with Dawn and the Oakland Symphony” conducted by Omid Zoufonoun.

Come spend a morning with Dawn and Symphony, as Dawn takes you on a musical journey, like on a time machine, starting at the time of the Kings and Queens. From Bach to the Orange Blossom Special…….the children will squeal with delight, as she brings her hilarious cast of characters to play for the audience!

Several lucky students will get to come up on stage and play the violin for first time, and many others will get to come up and compose!

It’s so entertaining, you don’t even know that you are being educated and having fun all at the same time!
