The Great Wall of Oakland

The Great Wall of Oakland is a 100′x100′ projection installation in Oakland’s Uptown District. Unlike any other film venue around, the Great Wall illuminates Uptown Oakland with curated, large-scale projections of the most cutting-edge video art and film, reaching thousands of Bay Area art fans each month.

The mission of the Great Wall is to educate, enliven and enrich urban communities with fresh and proactive art, to draw audiences to these spaces, and to provide talented artists worldwide a prominent place to showcase their work.
