A spectacular showpiece. A fantastic symphony. Experience the hallucination of Berlioz’s “Symphonie fantastique.” A story in a symphony, as the composer drops opium – and dreams a nightmare.

Demarre McGill serves as Principal Flute of the Seattle Symphony, and has coached and concertized across the U.S., South Africa and the Far East. He performs the concerto of Pulitzer Prize-winning Chinese-American composer, Chen Yi, music that breathes the sounds of Chinese wind instruments.

Born in San Francisco, Ankush Kumar Bahl has conducted the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, New York Philharmonic, and Orchestre National de France. Kurt Masur was an early mentor. He is currently Music Director of the Omaha Symphony. “His authority left one wanting to hear more of him…” – The Washington Post
