OakSym Essentials: Music from the Era of the Black Panthers

Reflect back on the on the protest music from the 60’s and 70’s. Experience a unique performance celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Black Panther movement. Come join OakSym Essentials on December 1st for a free performance at Oaktown Jazz Workshops.

The event will feature performances from vocalist and cultural historian Linda Tillery, Jason Ditzian and members of the Kugelplex, and students from Oaktown Jazz Workshops.

Doors will open at 6:00 PM for pre-show refreshments. The performance will begin at 6:30 PM, followed by a fireside chat with Maestro Michael Morgan and the performers.
