Roman St. Gerard

Roman St. Gerard began his musical studies during his 3rd grade year at Thornhill Elementary. He fell in love with the tone, sound and versatility of the violin.  He continued playing the violin and improving his musical skills throughout his elementary, middle, and high school years.  Roman has served as the concertmaster of the Montera Middle School Orchestra and for the past 3 years, he has been the concertmaster of the Skyline High School Orchestra.  Music has had a positive impact throughout his life, in which he has met many inspiring mentors, teachers, and peers who have supported and encouraged his musical and leadership skills. In addition to his school orchestras, Roman has had the privilege of participating in the MUSE Vivo orchestra which he is currently the concertmaster of.  Music has allowed Roman to flourish in and outside of school, allowing himself to express his creativity and imagination. In addition to being a committed musician, Roman is managing a rigorous academic course load at Skyline High School and is an active member of Skyline High School’s Varsity Cross Country and Track & Field teams. He also enjoys working as a Galaxy Explorer intern at Chabot Space and Science Center leading demos and activities and sharing his love of science with the public.
