Isabel Pulido is a freshman at Lodi Academy in Lodi, CA, a Filipino-American born in Stockton who joined Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra in 2016. Starting violin at the age of 6, she served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Central Valley Youth Symphony, where she made her solo debut at the age of twelve after winning the concerto competition. During the summer of 2017, she attended the internationally acclaimed Curtis Institute’s Young Artist Summer Program in Philadelphia, and the Luzerne Music Center in New York run by Elizabeth Pitcairn, President/Artistic Director. She has also attended summer programs in the Bay Area, including Crowden and the DelSol QuartetFest under the tutelage of the award winning DelSol Quartet. In 2014, she was the featured Young Artist on an Art Showcase program by a community radio station in Stockton. Pulido has been an active school band and Lodian Singers member, touring and performing in benefit and community concerts, and has been invited to perform in churches and nursing homes. She continues to inspire others with her passion for classical music, and is constantly invited to perform in studio recitals. She is currently enrolled at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Pre-College Division, and studies with Alisa Rose.
Aside from playing her violin, Pulido loves to travel and explore different cultures, and is also studying German language. By God’s grace and guidance, she hopes to pursue a career in music and someday become an accomplished musician.
