Critically acclaimed lirico-spinto soprano, Hope Briggs made her debut with San Francisco Opera as the Duchess of Parma in Busoni’s Doktor Faust.

Career highlights include the title role in Aida (Nevada Opera, Sacramento Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera), Leonora in Il Trovatore (El Paso Opera, Opera Roanoke, Festival Opera of Walnut Creek), Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera (Festival Opera of Walnut Creek) as well as Donna Anna (Frankfurt Opera) and the Duchess of Parma (Staatstheater Stuttgart).

Most recently, Ms. Briggs made her debut with the Reno Chamber Orchestra in Beethoven’s “Ah perfido”, sang Madame Lidoine in Dialogues of the Carmelites with Berkeley Chamber Opera, Marschallin in excerpts of Der Rosenkavalier with Fremont Symphony Orchestra, Nedda in I Pagliacci with Festival Opera, the title role in Joplin’s Treemonisha with Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and Cio Cio San in Madama Butterfly with Opéra Louisiane.
