piano

Eunice (Sehyun) Lee has studied piano for about 8 years, and is currently under the tutelage of Dr. Mihee Lee. In 2016, she was selected as a winner of the Livermore-Amador Symphony’s Young Artist Competition and performed as a soloist with the symphony. She has received awards multiple times at the U.S. Open Music Competition in both solo and duet categories. She also received the recognition of “California Arts Scholar” from California for her completion of the music program for piano performance at the California Summer School for the Arts. The same year, she received honorable mention for musical performance from the 2016 Student Recognition Project.

In addition to piano, she enjoys playing the violin very much. She began playing in ensembles at the age of 7, and has participated in various orchestras and chamber music groups as a violinist. In 2015, her trio was invited to the Menuhin Chamber Conference.

Besides her life in music, she is a passionate animal rights advocate and an outspoken supporter of minority rights. Currently a senior at Dougherty Valley High School, she hopes to continue pursuing her passions in reading, writing, and music in college.
