Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “especially impressive” and “a perky sensation,” Sherman was recognized as a Finalist in the 2015 Lotte Lenya Competition, a Winner of the 2015 UCLA All-Star Concerto Competition and 2016 Vocal Vision Awards, and has sung backup for Kristin Chenoweth at Walt Disney Concert Hall and other venues on her national concert tour.

Equally at home in musical theater, operatic, and contemporary repertoire, Sherman has recently been seen as Evelyn Nesbit in the site-specific concert of Ragtime on Ellis Island, Witch in Darko Tresnjak’s Macbeth (LA Opera), Allana in The Little Mermaid (Cabrillo Music Theatre), Frenchie in Cabaret (Crown City Theatre, Scenie Award for Best Ensemble, Eddon Award for Best Theatre in LA 2014), Nannetta in Falstaff (Pacific Opera Project), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Bay Area Theatre Company), and Despina in Così fan tutte (UCLA).

In addition to her stage endeavors, Sherman is a dancer, recording artist, and film actress living in New York City. She holds a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from UCLA and a B.A. in Music and Human Biology from Stanford University. She is thrilled to be back in the Bay Area for her Oakland Symphony debut!
