Kugelplex

klezmer band

Founded in 2001, Kugelplex aims to sustain and evolve the ecstatic diasporic tradition of the old-world klezmers through performing music that dismantles cultural boundaries. Drawing from centuries of traditions spanning Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, Kugelplex has performed with Joan Baez, Frank London, Kitka, Oakland Symphony, Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, SF Symphony and many others. Released this week, their new album Cast Away Our Sorrows is available at Kugelplex.com and in the Paramount lobby.
